Tips for Organizing Your Sliding Shelf
Organization
and the sliding shelf go hand in hand. You’ve had your
ShelfGenie sliding shelves installed and are ready to start getting
organized. Here are some quick tips to make the process as easy as
can be.
The first step
in any organization process is to start with a clean slate. The
good news is that you have already completed this step. You
unpacked your cabinets before your sliding shelves were installed;
now you just need to start reloading each sliding shelf.
Start by
thinking about where each sliding shelf is located. You want to
keep the items placed in the area of the kitchen where they will be
used. For example, if you are working on the cabinet closest to
your cook top, plan on putting your pots and pans on this sliding
shelf. Spend a few minutes thinking about your daily routine and
how you use your kitchen. There is no right or wrong placement on a
sliding shelf; only the placement that works best for you.
Be critical
about what you are placing on each sliding shelf. Don’t
overload your sliding shelves. If there are items you haven’t
used in months or years, it is time to say good-bye. Start a box
and donate items you don’t need, have duplicates of, or
don’t use.
Place items that are used most often to the front of each
sliding shelf. It may sound basic, but proper placement of each
item on the sliding shelf, makes a world of difference. Don’t
make yourself crazy by placing frequently used items at the back of
the sliding shelf.
