Thimmappa has received a doctoral degree from the University of California at Berkeley, served as faculty in the Department of Forest Sciences at Oregon State University, and more recently in the Department of Neurology at the Oregon Health and Science University. He brings nearly three decades of scientific research background to fulfill emotional needs of ShelfGenie clients in the organizing and pull-out shelving industry. Helping people and solving their problems is as exciting as conducting scientific studies on Coastal Redwood and Douglas-fir trees, and evaluating herbal remedies for Alzheimer’s disease and Cancer-Associated Retinopathy. He is dedicated to revolutionizing the way that space is used, especially by 45+ year-old communities who are in dire need of easy access to the existing cabinet spaces or better organization. Current day remodeling projects generally add beauty to the space, whereas ShelfGenie provides much needed “functionality” with beautiful solutions.

Believing an organized space is an efficient environment and helping others achieve the best use of their space has been the paramount goal of Leslie’s career. While she loves to help others with organization, she knows the best part of working for ShelfGenie is making new friends each day when she is invited into their homes.
