Thimmappa has received a doctoral degree from the University of California at Berkeley, served as faculty in the Department of Forest Sciences at Oregon State University, and more recently in the Department of Neurology at the Oregon Health and Science University. He brings nearly three decades of scientific research background to fulfill emotional needs of ShelfGenie clients in the organizing and pull-out shelving industry. Helping people and solving their problems is as exciting as conducting scientific studies on Coastal Redwood and Douglas-fir trees, and evaluating herbal remedies for Alzheimer’s disease and Cancer-Associated Retinopathy. Current day remodeling projects generally add beauty to the space, whereas ShelfGenie provides much needed “functionality” with beautiful solutions.
My name is Mindy and I have a real passion for interior design and organization. ShelfGenie is a wonderful business that I enjoy being a part of! It allows me to be creative and help people solve their storage dilemmas. Being organized in your home and work place is so important to being efficient and successful in our everyday lives. It helps us feel good and accomplished when we are organized. We see and know what we have and therefore it saves us time and money. For the past 15 years I have been helping people in their homes in all different design aspects. I really love what ShelfGenie offers in the way of organization. Being able to work with our clients, listening to their needs and putting together a storage solution that fits their personal needs is truly fun for me!
Nancy grew up in Minnesota and has a degree in Recreation and Outdoor Education. While working in Dallas TX she stumbled upon a Kitchen Design job and realized she had a passion and knack for designing and working with customers on all of their remodeling needs. Her attention to detail and organizational skills makes her excellent in transforming your kitchen or bath, and her practical sense will recommend you have the most efficient usable space possible using ShelfGenie in your home. Nancy now lives in Vancouver and anytime she gets a free moment you can usually find her out hiking or kayaking somewhere.
I came to ShelfGenie out of my passion for order and organization. I really enjoy getting the opportunity to define and discuss the intricacies of clients’ space and then present a storage solution that will help make their everyday lives easier and more efficient.
I owned my own jewelry business for 20 plus years and finally decided to retire, and start something new. When I learned about ShelfGenie, the solutions they offer, the process they take with each customer, and the unique experiences they provide, I knew this would be a great transition and fit for me.
On the side, I enjoy gardening, traveling and the Arts. My husband and I live in the quaint town of Troutdale where we enjoy a beautiful view of the Columbia River gorge. This is my little piece of heaven that we get to enjoy everyday!
I’m Cydney, and I love to make things beautiful. Our homes should be our happy places, and so much of that depends on having a place for everything and having everything in its place. Sometimes all we need is a fresh perspective on our space to realize its true potential, and that’s where I come in. I have a background in Home Organization and Design, and I live in a tiny bungalow here in Portland that was built in 1914, so I know a thing or two about utilizing every inch of space. My family and I strive to live a clutter-free life and it brings me joy to help others do the same.
As a new homeowner I was looking for a solution to improve my kitchen cabinets and I came across ShelfGenie. I was very impressed with their innovative products and ShelfGenie solutions became my first choice. I was so impressed with the overall customer experience and the quality that I wanted to learn more about the company. The more I learned the more impressed I was and as soon as a job opportunity was offered to me, I took it. It is an honor to be part of ShelfGenie team.
