Pull-Out Shelves in Seattle

We are so happy with our finished Shelf Genie project. Everything was smooth and professional from start to finish. Our designer Candace was so thoughtful in helping us select products that work for our kitchen and our life and Justin did an amazing job with install, and even came back a second time to fix a minor issue. Highly recommend!

I had no idea how pleased I would be with the change and installation of ShelfGenie pull-out shelves and drawers! I have a 37 year old galley kitchen that has updated counter tops, appliances and cabinet door fronts; but previously didn’t see the need for new shelves. With my advanced age I’ve had a change of heart and mind as I can’t kneel or reach the back of the cupboards any longer. I researched the options and fortunately chose ShelfGenie. My usable space has increased by at least 20%. Now I am able to effortlessly access everything in every cupboard, whereas previously items on the lower shelves, in the back, required great effort to get to. Nuisance items, like Rubbermaid container lids and lids for a variety of sizes of pans are now organized and easy to access, while all other kitchen items/ tools/ food/pet food/ serve ware/ wines/appliances etc. are organized by category. The result is Sheer Bliss. Monica S. the designer I worked with, was exceptional in maximizing the use of space, understanding my priorities, anticipating needs I didn’t even know I had, and she has a good sense of aesthetics. She worked with me for several hours developing a plan, presented me with a schematic and CAD plan that accurately reflected it, and made invaluable notes that I relied on later during the installation. Her recommendations on the use of soft closers, select, upgraded materials and existing things that did not have to be changed have proved to be spot on. Andrew H., the installer she selected for this job, is outstanding too. His communication was great, he arrived on time with all the necessary tools, provided protection for the wood floors and countertops, staged the shelves so I could still move throughout the kitchen and cleaned up as he worked. Throughout the 6-hour installation he was friendly and worked efficiently. On more than one occasion he stated that if any changes or modifications were needed once the install was complete, he’d be happy to return to do so. I ended up accepting his offer 3 days later as I moved items in two locations and needed the height of the shelves to be adjusted. He came, it took him 15 minutes, and he was very gracious. ShelfGenie is not an inexpensive investment. However, the materials are quality, not the caliber of IKEA that some others. These are custom made shelves designed to fit virtually any area and make that space totally usable. There is a choice of products with either a 3 yr. or lifetime warranty - or a combination of both. I chose a combo option and am thrilled. The pull outs work flawlessly, are quiet and each shelf will support up to 100#. The project came in on budget and a full month ahead of schedule. To make it even more incredible they offered 12 month, no interest financing! There are no negatives related to this project. People, product, promises all were terrific, unexpected and wonderful. Great product, great people! We had ShelfGenie install a kitchen package in 2023. In 2025, we had excessive water damage, requiring replacement of our lower kitchen cabinets. Unfortunately the dimensions of the new cabinetry were substantially different, and we couldn't reuse the old inserts. ShelfGenie created a package to best use the available space, and reuse what still fit. Needing to purchase a new package was not fun, but here's where it gets good. Justin, our ShelfGenie installer found some poor workmanship in the installation of our original inserts in the upper cabinets (I'm not saying we were unhappy with the originals, we just unaware of the problems that Justin saw). He got to work and fixed the problems from the previous installer while he was here taking measurements. Now, that's service! The new inserts for the lowers were built faster than expected (remember, these are custom built and take time). Justin stayed in contact with us the whole time. When he returned to install the new builds, his work was incredible, and the results amazing! He took his time and made sure everything was done right. The final product is sturdy, fits all of our pots, pans, and kitchen items of various sizes. They support a lot of weight, and nothing drags or binds. Our new inserts seem to be both better built and better installed (probably only seem better built because of the installation job). Further, after about a week after the job was done, Justin was following up with us to make sure no problems came up. Everything turned out way better than expected! Our package was not cheap, but it was worth every penny from start to finish. Thanks, Justin!
